Research Interest

Blaize’s primary research focus is on assessing anthropogenic impacts on the environment, with emphasis on globally applicable environmental issues. Her research has spanned from urban environments to boreal/arctic ecosystems with a focus on ecosystem science, climate change, water quality, greenhouse gas emissions, carbon cycling and ice-cover dynamics. Blaize utilizes a mix of field and lab-based methods, combined with remote sensing and sensor technology, to broaden scientific knowledge across space and time.
